Originally trained in watercolour, Helen Clifford now works almost exclusively in artists' coloured pencil and graphite pencil, which she finds enable her to transfer her vision most directly onto the page.

Specialising in animal subjects, she seeks to capture their individual personalities, often focusing on ‘head and shoulders’ portraits.

Helen is a member of the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society, exhibiting and selling at their world-renowned annual Summer Exhibition. Based in Hampshire, UK, she also exhibits regularly at a number of local shows as well as taking private commissions.
